When Mike and I returned from Florida I figured out how to work through those displacement feelings I fall into when I’ve been gone from home for a long time. Get back into the ‘swing of things’ is the phrase my dad used. Reconnecting with friends at the annual hospital auxiliary luncheon, little ordinary things like shopping at my hometown grocery store, dropping off dry cleaning, getting the chickens back from the kind farmer down the road (he keeps them with his flock while we’re gone). This works for me. I’m home now.
